Beginning Experience Weekend
Divorced? Widowed? Beginning Weekend gently helps people move through their loss to a new beginning in their lives. The Beginning Experience Weekend for Kansas City area will be Sept. 26-28. Outdoor Production “Water Horse”
Bring your blankets or chairs for a great night of family fun at the movies! St. Joseph of the Valley Church invites you Saturday Sept. 27th for their 1st annual outdoor movie event by JF Productions featuring “Water Horse”. Following a 6:00pm Mass, concession, games and door prizes will begin. The movie starts at dusk on the lawn. We are asking a $10 donation for parking. A rain out is scheduled Sept. 28th at 7:00 pm. Fall Sale
St. Joseph’s Church in Atchison, Kansas is gearing up for their Fall Sale. Again this year, it will be held for  “One Week Only” and the dates are September 29—October 4, 2008. Our sale always has a variety of items. Anything from furniture, appliances, stereo & audio equipment to jewelry, books, baby items, bedding and clothing. 

Immaculata Home Coming 2008
“Living Green” Immaculata Homecoming 2008 is October 3-4. Mark your calendars for the Imac Golf Classic and Knights of Columbus get together on Oct. 3 and Homecoming game and other activities on Oct. 4. Class reunions for the following classes: 1958, 1963, 1968, 1978, 1983, 1988 and 1998. For more information check www.leavenworthcatholicschools.org. 

SH Fall Fest—October 5, 2008
Envelopes not picked up in Church will be mailed out this week.  Contact Jean Metz, 682-7876, if you need a packet or want to sign up to work your favorite Game Booth.  Auction items can be picked up by calling Gary, 682-9193, or the parish office, 772-2424. Please leave White Elephant things in the box at church or on the front porch of 611 Prospect.
Two pies and two cakes are needed from each family for our dinner and cake walk.  All baked goods may be delivered on Saturday, Oct. 4th, from 8:30 am until noon and again from 4-5:30 pm.  On Oct. 5th they may be dropped off starting at 9:30 am. 

Quarterly Baptismal Preparation Class
The next baptismal class will be held in the SC Hall on October 23rd at 6:30 pm. This will be the last baptismal class for the parish this year. Add this important date to your calendar.

Pro Life Prayer Breakfast
Sunday, Oct 26 2008,  St Josephs Church , Leavenworth , Kansas. There will be Mass at 8:00 am and the Pro Life Prayer Breakfast will follow at 9:00 am. This breakfast is Sponsored by the Daughters of Isabella. Registration Fee: Donation to Birthright
