Becoming Catholic - RCIA

Congratulations on your interest in joining the Catholic Church!

Those wanting to join the Church begin with the journey of Christian Initiation. There are ceremonies or Rites at each stage to celebrate the steps along the way. The whole journey is called the catechumenate process and follows Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults or RCIA.

The process of joining the Church takes several months as one prepares for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, the Sacraments of Initiation.

The Easter Vigil, the night before Easter Sunday, is usually the time of celebration with all these Sacraments of Initiation.

To help you along your journey and answer questions you might have includes the RCIA team. Your first step is to contact the Parish Office. They will then set up a time for you to meet with the pastor and provide you with additional information.

Not ready to join but want more information about Catholicism? We are here to answer your questions. Please contact the Parish Office and we will put you in touch with the right individuals and groups who can help you obtain the knowledge you seek.
